Engine Excitement in the Ford Ranger

At Short-Redmond Ford, we welcome the return of the Ford Ranger to La Follette. And we’re especially excited about all the high-tech advancement in this midsize pickup. Its Ford Co-Pilot 360™ suite monitors the road and traffic conditions to keep you safe. Among its components are the Blind Spot Information System for telling you about intrusions into your blind zone and a Rear View Camera so that you can look behind you without turning your head.

Driving this pickup forward is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost with a twin-scroll turbocharger that optimizes responsiveness while eliminating lag. It generates 310 lb.-ft. of torque and 270 horsepower with an assist from the 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission that optimizes gear progressions to create smooth and quick shifts.

With Auto Start-Stop Technology that shuts off the engine at stops and restarts it again when you’re ready to move, fuel efficiency reaches an EPA-estimated 26 MPG on the highway and 21 MPG in the city.
